We're looking for qualified Surgery Scheduling Specialist like you to join our Texas Health Heart & Vascular Specialist family. Position Highlights Work location: 6300 West Parker Road, Suite 322, Plano, TX 75093 Work environment: Heart & Vascular Specialists Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am - 5:00 pm Texas Health Physicians Group (THPG) is a not-for-profit physician organization with more than 250 locations and 800 physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants dedicated to providing quality care in clinics and medical offices throughout North Texas. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent (required) Two years of related experience in healthcare environment (preferred) Bilingual in Spanish (preferred) Position Responsibilities THPG Surgery Scheduling Specialist schedules all inpatient and outpatient surgery and medical procedures, tests and studies ordered by the physician . Coordinates, registers and schedule appointments for patients according to availability, conducts physician pre-certification to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care, ensures all required tests needed prior to surgery are done, coordinates and ensures necessary equipment is ordered, room availability/scheduled, pre-surgery medication, etc., is arranged prior to scheduled procedure, schedules any necessary follow-up appointments, communicates and answers patients' questions regarding surgery preparation instructions, arrival/departure instructions relative to procedure, and performs other duties as assigned.
