Job Description: - -The high-level size of our datacenter is one 42Unit rack containing:

• 2 firewalls, 2 Dell switches, 3+ compute hosts, 1 MSSP server, 1 power store unit, multiple data storage units containing 50TB of production data and 50TB of backup data on Veeam units -Requirements include: -
  • Full-time project manager role for 3-6 months duration.
  • Required to work on-site in Plano, TX.
  • Prior experience leading datacenter migration projects is required.
  • Prior experience leading complex IT projects is required.
  • Experience in infrastructure and/or network engineering is preferred.
    • High-level view of tasks for this candidate to lead and manage include:
      • Inventory of current datacenter assets
      • Vendor selection and tours -
      • Business application analysis to determine which apps move in what order
      • Outage window / user impact / business risk assessment
      • Server and storage unit conceptual design
      • Network, switch, firewall conceptual design
      • Hardware/software/license procurement
      • Overall cost / budget analysis
      • Establish hardware/software environment in new datacenter facility
      • Data migration planning
      • Backup / restore planning and testing
      • Cutover planning and execution
