  • This is a senior-level role where the candidate needs to be experienced in advising and influencing at executive level.
  • Candidates should have experience successfully selling product solutions and services to key customers with the proven ability to develop long-standing business partnerships.
  • Establishes and develops account relationships based on a defined strategy with the customer.
  • Monitors customer claims as well as plans, facilitates, and conducts customer negotiations.
  • Develops, maintains, and shares detailed knowledge of the customer's business strategy, purchasing behavior, organization, decision-makers, customer business drivers, economic trends and competition.
  • Participates in the development of sales strategies for account by providing the customer's current business and long-term plans.
  • Provides input on the development and implementation of the account plan to include designing the executive relationship strategy and coverage plans by prioritizing the opportunities and identifying a target for each solution element. (Provides input on the development and implementation)
  • Proposes recovery plans in case of potential order shortfalls.
  • Sells products / solutions / services to customers, focusing on volume, mix and budget targets.
  • Clearly defines strategies to achieve budget targets
  • Monitors competitors' activity with each account and ensures that appropriate response strategies are formulated and implemented.
  • Communicates details in accordance with ABB supply, offering and strategy.
  • Ability to utilize internal or external resources (e.g. technical, advertising and marketing) in order to provide value added services to accounts. Your background
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
    • Minimum of 10 years sales experience with a minimum of 3 years of Key Account Management.
    • Position requires the ability to travel an average of 50% of the time during a typical work week
    • Leadership experience with global and local teams and reporting to senior management.
    • Knowledge of customers across the telecommunications sector
    • Keen business sense and strong customer negotiation skills.
    • Solid interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence at all levels of management and across functions.
    • Practical experience with strategic selling tools and methodology in growing key accounts
