You will build strong, flourishing programs bolstered by clear, streamlined systems and processes and a nimble, adaptive, high-performing, and collaborative team. -
    -What You Will Be Doing The Chief Program Officer (CPO) serves as an executive leadership team member and actively participates in making strategic decisions affecting My Possibilities. In partnership with the Executive Director (ED), the CPO is responsible for establishing a strategic vision and guiding philosophy that will inform short- and long-term programming goals, drive new programs, and carefully monitor the progress toward those efforts. The CPO has overall responsibility for all direct care staff, their supervisors, and program administrative/support staff. - Essential Functions Leadership
    • Work with other members of the executive leadership team and three direct reports to advance MP's mission, vision, and values, set strategic goals, and support implementation through Directors.
    • Create and support a high-performing culture in the program department.
    • Develop a team-based environment to motivate and inspire staff to work collaboratively toward achieving our goals by clearly communicating our vision, implementing staff development plans, and mentoring. Programs and Outcomes -
      • Oversee the coordination, integration, and delivery of all programs, contracts, and related services, promoting collaborative relationships between program areas and ensuring that the expectations of funders, partners, constituents, clients, and other stakeholders are consistently met. -
      • Develop policies and procedures aligning service delivery with the requirements of government contracts, grants, foundations, private pay, or as otherwise required by the organization.
      • Review other provider programs (state and nationally) to support improved systems such as documentation, data collection, and best practice implementation. Streamline documentation and reporting across all services. -
      • Develop an assessment protocol to determine the feasibility and sustainability of programs and lead to more effective and efficient service delivery. -
      • Analyze and assess programs based on data collected and implement corrective measures if required.
      • Manage program budgets to ensure appropriate allocation of program funding. External Relationships
        • Build external relationships, collaborations, and partnerships with other organizations to broaden services. Identify potential new relationship targets and strategize with the ED. -
        • Manage and prioritize relationships with key partner organizations. -
        • Support fundraising efforts through relationship building, site visits, program presentations, events, and grant writing participation. - Qualifications
          • A minimum of eight years of leadership experience in a nonprofit, government, or philanthropy, overseeing multiple programs or contracts, ideally at an organization serving persons with disabilities -
          • Passion for MP's mission and purpose and an ability to communicate this passion to others -
          • Demonstrated experience managing a high-performing team, including professional development and mentorship -
          • Comprehensive working knowledge of program planning, organizational structure, budgeting, administrative operations, and fundraising -
          • Demonstrated ability to analyze and compile complex data for planning and reporting purposes -
          • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to represent the organization externally across a wide range of stakeholders and constituencies
          • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience is required; an advanced degree in Business/Public Administration or a related field is preferred
          • Demonstrated commitment to the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion; experience implementing the principles in program areas and creating an inclusive work environment Working Conditions Work is primarily indoors. You may encounter work interruptions; you will get to work cooperatively with others and independently with minimal direction and supervision. You must understand, interpret, and apply information at a moderately complex level which is essential for successful job performance. Regularly you will calculate simple math skills at a high school proficiency level. You will need to rank tasks in order of importance. Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged sitting. Minimally must lift 15 pounds without assistance; may lift over 20 pounds with or without assistance.
