We work for physicians and their patients with current qualifying conditions to supply prescription cannabis that can change lives.The Assistant Manager is second in command and will act as the right hand to the General Manager. The Assistant Manager will help lead the team to achieve all target metrics and goals, while helping with the management of in-store, day-to-day operations and keeping the team motivated and on track while upholding the highest level of customer experience and compassion. Responsibilities:

  • Hire, train, coach, and develop direct reports using company programs, tools, and resources
  • Lead, motivate, inspire, and coach employees to create a customer-centric environment resulting in a memorable and compassionate customer experience
  • Promote a culture of teamwork by working alongside the management team, establishing priorities, and providing clear direction
  • Be knowledgeable of, and ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, laws and standards
  • Bring forth new ideas and suggestions to help keep procedures and operations as smooth and lean as possible
  • Management and delegation of opening and closing procedures
  • Assist in cash pickups and change requests with the bank and finance department as needed
  • Ensure store is audit compliant
  • Establish and implement operational policies, standards and procedures for staff
  • Order store supplies as needed
  • Communicate with the GM all things prevalent to the success of the whole team
  • Comply with company cash handling policies and perform daily cash management responsibilities and compliance reporting
  • Oversight and management of store merchandising, daily operations, collaboration with marketing, and overall execution of store and company standards
  • Protect company assets and minimize loss by ensuring all store standards and operating procedures are met, including workplace safety, inventory control, cash handling and loss prevention
  • Ensures the implementation and effective application of information, tools, and systems required to meet customer needs
  • Responsible for facility maintenance and troubleshooting as necessary including proper upkeep of phone, utilities, technology, maintenance, repairs, stock, and supplies
  • Ensures store and team compliance with all company policies and procedures
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for all employees and customers
  • Other duties as assignedWhat you'll need to succeed:
    • Minimum 21 years of age
    • A minimum of 2 years' experience in the roles of exceptional leadership, management, communication, and training skills in a customer-centric sales environment
    • Strong leadership skills, ability to build and manage teams
    • Ability to work a full-time flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays
    • Must have reliable transportation
    • Ability to work well with a team and independently
    • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
    • Demonstrated ability to achieve individual goals and metrics
    • Proven ability to drive results, able to analyze selling reports, identify business trends and react quickly to the needs of the business
    • Comfort in making decisions and mediating conflict within a team environment
    • Ability to address complex issues and allocate time to execute multiple tasks and changing priorities
    • Ability to identify top talent and train, develop, and retain great people
    • Proficient in windows - based software such as Excel, Word and Outlook
    • Ability to train and retain technology and software information easily and quickly
    • Must be able to obtain State approved credentials and pass criminal background check
    • Working knowledge of Medical and/or Retail Cannabis preferred
