Job Description:

• Develop a vision for the Product Strategy Team at Toyota Connected that aligns with enterprise goals and leverages core capabilities and key product portfolios
• Gain a thorough understanding of the core business of Toyota Connected and conduct competitive and market research to identify areas of opportunity moving forward within the Toyota mobility focus areas
• Cultivate a set of internal customers for Toyota Connected/Connected Technology products in North America and other regions
• Work with cross-functional teams and partners to identify, prioritize, and realize opportunities to create value for internal and external customers
• Identify opportunities to expand existing products to increase their value to the market while understanding position in market against competitors
• Develop and manage business models, business cases, and financial projections for products and product portfolios
• Develop and integrate product roadmaps to create and execute cross-organizational product plans
• Clearly define and present product strategy and actionable recommendations to leadership across the Toyota organization
• Lead market research to identify new markets to expand existing products or to define new product opportunities.
• Support innovation strategy within Toyota Connected to rapidly create and iterate on concepts that could serve identified markets.
• Manage and help develop a team including defining roles and responsibilities, providing ongoing input and feedback about work outputs, and evaluating performance
• Work closely with VP of Engineering to ensure product strategy and development are aligned and delivering on an agreed vision Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in business strategy and product leadership
  • Experience working with or managing data-related products
  • Proven track-record developing and executing impactful strategies for a portfolio of software products
  • Deep experience in Agile product development and working with Agile development teams
  • Experience successfully leading, managing, coaching and developing a high performing team of product strategy and business development team members
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to bring complex products to market
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and turn incomplete, conflicting, or ambiguous inputs into concrete action plans
  • Experience building, owning, and prioritizing complex product portfolios and roadmaps and aligning them with organizational priorities
  • Experience using market research to identify opportunities and inform product roadmaps and strategies
  • Experience developing and managing business models for a portfolio of products
  • We think the knowledge acquired earning a Bachelor's Degree would be of great value in this position, but if you're smart and have the experience that backs up your abilities, for us, talent trumps degree every time. Preferred:
    • MBA or MA/MS degree(s)
    • Experience in client services
    • Experience in the automotive industry
    • Experience working with Connected Car, IOT or Mobility related products
    • Experience working with clients or individuals from other regions of the world
