We are equally focused on nurturing talent, respecting the diverse experiences that our team of Risk professionals bring and embracing an inclusive environment.**Chase Consumer & Community Banking (CCB)** serves consumers and small businesses with a broad range of financial services, including personal banking, small business banking and lending, mortgages, credit cards, payments, auto finance and investment advice. Consumer & Community Banking Risk Management partners with each CCB sub-line of business to identify, assess, prioritize and remediate risk. Types of risk that occur in consumer businesses include fraud, reputation, operational, credit, market and regulatory, among others.The Vice President in Credit Loss Forecasting will be participating in the oversight of home lending loss forecast process for CCAR/CECL/Outlook/Risk Appetite, and take a lead on analytics regarding the portfolio and pricing, and model implementations.The position will interact with the Home Lending Credit Forecast team located both in US and India, as well as partners in Firmwide Economic Scenario Analytics team, Home Lending Risk, Finance/Controller, Modeling and Model Governance. This will be a key position in the Home Lending Credit Forecasting group responsible for providing senior management with deep insight of the macroeconomic expectation, loss forecast results.**The successful candidate must excel at understanding mortgage business, as well as loss forecast model results and providing intuition to support the results from business perspective in order to develop a senior level presentation.** Additional skills need include communication and problem solving, be detail oriented, self-motivated, confident and ready to work in a fast-paced environment.**Responsibilities include:**+ Provide information by assembling, interpreting, and summarizing data, preparing reports, making presentations of findings, along with analyses and recommendations to Senior Management+ Understand economic models (such as Housing Price Index model), challenge and explain the model results and provide more intuition to support the results from business perspective+ Understand the credit loss forecast model, the credit forecast process and needs and rationale for business decisions+ Expected to work on multiple projects with limited guidance+ Manage interactions and communication with Controllers, Finance, Central Team, Modeling, and MRGR to ensure consistency of the loss forecast+ Mentor and coach junior analysts to help them develop their risk management skills and finance knowledge+ Assist in data and forecast results analysis in a business and financial context**Qualifications:**+ Master's degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Operation Research)+ Demonstrable understanding of financial statements and disclosures required+ Minimum 5+ years of loss forecasting analytics and/or modeling experience. Experience in statistical modeling, CCAR, LLR/CECL, risk management and mortgage industry is preferred+ Strong communication skills to present to and collaborate with business partners and model end-users and interpersonal skills a must including the ability to explain and/or present analysis+ Strong analytical, interpretive and problem-solving skills, which will require the ability to synthesize / analyze diverse information and develop strategy recommendations from observed outcomes+ Must have good judgment with the demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically+ Ability to work independently & manage projects and deadlines+ Proficiency in analytical languages (e.g. SAS, Python, R) is a plusChase is a leading financial services firm, helping nearly half of America's households and small businesses achieve their financial goals through a broad range of financial products.
