THE POSITION

You will be responsible for leading Retail Strategy and Operations for our largest channel overseeing the planning and execution of all aspects of the Samsung brand experience, including new product launches, in-store branding, device experiences, and field team training designed to support sellout initiatives and drive conversion at retail POS.

Working in partnership with the account team, you will lead a team responsible for the implementation of the Samsung retail plan in a key channel. Working cross-functionally, this will include the development and execution of a world-class customer experience at every retail touch point - fixture development, new and innovative retail experiences that highlight Samsung mobile innovation, Sales Associate training and communications across all device categories, and drive in-store conversion and sales.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with product management, Samsung field sales team, retail support groups, business planning, marketing, Global HQ support teams and external customers

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, gain leadership alignment and execute go-to-market (GTM) plans within channel partner's retail stores. Plans will include a variety of initiatives including merchandising, experiential retail, Sales Associate training, platform management, sales programs, and engagement.
  • Support all mobile product launch and promotional activities. Including flagship smartphone, tablet and watch launches as well as key promotional periods like Back-to-School and Holiday
  • Drive "Always On" retail to bring consistent and best-in-class to drive sellout and customer retention
  • Serve as primary SEA Retail interface to channel partner's product marketing, customer care, retail operations, retail sales, and marketing communications team
  • Bring bold and Innovative thinking to continuously improve Samsung brand awareness, consumer product engagement and rep knowledge in the retail environment.
  • Develop web-based training courses and e-Learning solutions for 40,000 in-store Sales Associates
  • Build effective retail experiences designed to drive consideration & conversion
  • Digital Content Implementation (on device + digital in-store signage)
  • Lead Samsung placement planning to optimize sales for each mobile product category across retail locations
  • Synthesize insights from qualitative and quantitative data points', compare data vs. KPIs and identify optimization opportunities for future launch improvements.
  • Support design and planning efforts that impact store formats & fixtures working with Samsung HQ Retail Team, Samsung US sales and marketing team and the customer.
  • Work with CX team and third party vendors that fabricate and install Samsung retail concepts
  • Prepare account management, progress, expenditure, and other related reports as directed by management
  • Evangelizing the Samsung vision and mission
  • Lead highly visible and a high-performance team
    Background and Competencies Required:

    • Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years of directly related experience is required
    • Prior management experience is required
    • Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with all levels of the organization
    • Prior telecommunication, retail, or CPG experience strongly preferred
    • At least 5-7 years building and leading high-performance retail teams
    • Strong project management, analytical and interpersonal skills required
    • Travel Required: 25%
