The Senior Systems Administrator will The Service Transition Software Analyst is responsible for ensuring smooth transition of IT Software from Development/Procurement into the Production environment. This position is responsible for the management of software acquisition, compliance, maintenance renewals, life cycle planning and costing. He/she will work to resolve incidents and service requests as well as provide cross training of staff to provide cross functional capabilities.Duties and Responsibilities:Facilitate the business' needs for ongoing technical support and upgrade protection on selected products by ensuring that maintenance, support and upgrade protection renewals are managed/handled/ordered in advance of their expiration. Ability to work to identify savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services. Work with Procurement and vendors to obtain identified savings. Manage contracts and relationships to maximize value creation and costs for software licensing, maintenance, and service offerings by identifying and documenting business requirements on software.Collect information for budgeting, software compliance & inventory, contract summaries, and cost comparisons.Enter and maintain information in a database format to address budgeting, software compliance & inventory, contracts, and cost. Assist in the development of reporting to address management requirements to obtain information. Communicate to end users, management, and vendors. Respond to requests from end users, management, and team members for specific ITSoftware Asset Management data information.Prepare for and lead on audits to ensure 100% compliancy as per contractual obligations.Ensure all software assets are tracked from initial order through retirement, and that their configuration relative to the Services offered by IT are defined/maintained/updated throughout the life of the Service.Enforcement of formal processes for identifying, documenting, maintaining, and making available for production use configuration information (CIs and relationships).
