The CS Strategy & Planning team at Splunk is passionate about getting results for the Customer Success (Professional Services, Support, Education, CSMs, Services Sales) Organizations through strategy development, execution perfection, and performance management. As a Senior Manager, Strategic Initiatives & Program Management, you will be responsible for all strategic/transformation initiatives, programs, and operations execution for the broader Customer Success organisation. The role will encompass working with cross-functional teams both within the Customer Success organization, as well as beyond, in Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, IT, Finance, and Corporate Strategy, to execute on high-value, transformational critical initiatives. The ideal candidate should be a structured and critical thinking leader, with experience driving program execution for high profile transformational initiatives. The candidate should have a strong operational and business background and excel in program management, building and leading teams, and building operational frameworks against measurable outcomes and metrics (familiarity or experience working with OKRs, lean six sigma, etc.). As the Senior Manager, Initiatives & Program Management, you will lead the Programs & Initiatives team, and will report directly to the Director, CS Strategy & Planning and work closely with the VP of Global CS Strategy & Operations. Responsibilities Own critical initiatives & program goals to achieve customer outcomes, drive consistency and provide oversight of programs/projects across the organization. Responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising and implementing sophisticated programs to meet organizational goals. Ensures projects are aligned to company strategy. Help set CS OKRs, develop supporting operational framework and cadence, and ensure delivery of key results Develop visibility and timely updates, including leading workshops and executive readouts, to executive partners on major pivotal initiatives Bring clarity, structure, and actions to plans of various levels of ambiguity and complexity Lead and nurture program/project management team members, both within and outside the Program & Initiatives team, and share knowledge of industry standard methodologies Set standards for program/project manager capabilities, including certifications and qualifications and success measurement criteria Maintains the efficiency of the project management process such as planning, resourcing, budget and risk assessment. Implement programs/projects in a manner that supports automated tracking and monitoring, reduces manual efforts, and improves operational efficiency Leads internal and external relationships in support of program(s); may provide consultation on sophisticated large scale projects that integrate into an organized program. Requirements 10 years of experience working in a Customer Success organization, leading critical initiatives and/or program management 5 years of experience developing a team with a consistent track record of driving customer-impacting outcomes and team development that incorporates diligent program/project delivery and an ability to drive repeatable and scalable standard methodologies MBA, SPHR, PMP or equivalent certification preferred Solid understanding of OKR methodology, project life cycles and methods Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills Displays a deep understanding of business strategies and the potential opportunities that can be implemented improve performance. Ability to logically and efficiently structure ambiguous problems, conduct complicated analysis, identify key insights, and recommend actions Able to synthesise complex issues, form initial hypotheses and identify the data and operational requirements required to confirm hypotheses. Ability to lead multiple projects and initiatives at once Ability to optimally own your time, prioritize tasks, and work within deadlines with little supervision Experience using cloud based technologies (ex. GSuite, Jira, Smartsheet) Excellent writing skills, with the ability to think and communicate clearly, formulate a clear point of view on complicated issues, and build a concise and well-written narrative. Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and able to form a cohesive and effective outcome from potentially incongruous facts (or lack thereof) and individual perspectives. Maintains a high degree of integrity when dealing with internal customers and senior leaders. Location: US, Preference for major Splunk Location LI - Remote We value diversity at our company.
