The goal is to use new technologies and experiences to drive consideration and purchase of mobile devices. You will collaborate in setting the strategy, roadmap, and feature definition for new digital experiences that reduce friction and solve clear consumer pain points. Examples include augmented reality, virtual devices, holograms, virtual stores, haptics, gesture-based interactivity, and interactive shopping applications.To stay ahead of the competition, it's critical to analyze market and competitive conditions, and lay out a vision where our online and in-store experience can deliver unique value based on customer demands. Using consumer insights, you will execute concept testing across our Retail strategy and consumer insights teams. Once validated, you'll partner with Retail team members to bring the concept to life as a proof of concept and ultimately a small-scale pilot. For the big ideas that prove they can drive impactful business results, you'll partner with the Retail Experience Technology team for the software and applications development that will ultimately help us scale innovations across online, retail and carrier channels.In addition, you will also support product management by defining the release process and coordinating all of the activities required to bring the product to market. You'll partner with the Digital Retail Experience Director on the roadmap and prioritization of what matters most to achieve the strategic goals and initiatives behind the product.An understanding of the power of data is critical. We strive to deliver more personalized shopping experiences where we make it easier to choose and purchase mobile devices. This involves using data to create an integrated customer profile and providing seamless online-to-offline shopping experiences.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:--- Market Analysis & Planning:o Audit the market for new tools and best-in-class digital experiences that could help achieve our business objectiveso Closely monitor technology and shopping trends; collaborate with Retail Strategy team to generate concepts for consumer testingo Understand competitive implementations and consumer online and in-store behavior along with usage of in-store technology; create strategy and recommendations to drive best-in-class experienceo Support creative process of generating, developing, and curating new ideaso Maintain retail experience innovation roadmap, share plans across Retail organizationo Integrate Retail and customer feedback into product planning and development processo Create action plans from usability testing and insightso Suggest project prioritization to Digital Retail Experience Director to best enable goal achievemento Sell projects to senior leadership by partnering with Business Planning team to clearly define the achievement of growth objectives including market share, revenue, profit, and return on investment for key customers--- Retail Experience Leadership:o Support defining the vision and strategy for specific innovation products (ex. AR, VR, O2O personalization)o Support the creation, piloting, and rollout of online and in-store innovations including content creation and defining the consumer flowo Identify, recommend and partner on new ways to engage shoppers across our product portfolioo Partner with the Retail Experience tech team lead for development and deployment supporto Construct POCs for testing, establish success metrics and measurement plan, report metrics and suggest optimizationso Define product release processes, gain alignmento Collaborate on data usage to deliver personalized experiences, creating a single view of the customero Collaborate with the SEA visual merchandising team to define how the innovations can show up in Samsung stores and across our retail/carrier customers; partner with cross-functional teams to sell solutions into channel accounts--- Product Management:o Define the why, when, and what that needs to be developed to meet customer needso Support cross-functional initiatives from a product's conception through to launcho Build roadmap for adding new features to push the product strategy forward- namely those that will achieve key objectives for the product line and businesso Support the creative process of generating, developing, and curating new ideas that transform the online and in-store shopping experienceo Ensure that feedback and requests are seamlessly integrated into product planning and development processeso Communicate the status of ideas back to the customers, partners, and internal team members who submitted themBACKGROUND & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:--- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university--- 12-15 years of experience, with majority of years in digital and/or retail marketing--- Most recent experience creating and driving customer experience improvements that reduce friction across the total shopper journey--- Mobile industry or consumer electronics retail experience preferred--- Experience launching bleeding and leading-edge innovations in retail--- Product management experience in developing and rolling out innovation concepts--- Strong understanding of online shopping needs, trends and behaviors--- Demonstrated leadership and ability to support cross-functional partners--- Solid understanding of technology, i.e., the technology infrastructure on how devices need to be connected to work together to create a seamless experience--- Strong written and verbal communication skills able to regularly interact with senior leadership audience with minimal oversight or support--- Self-starter, able to add value without specific direction--- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate key takeaways through impactful storytelling--- Objectively able to look at available information and make recommendations--- Positive attitude and ability to adjust as changes occur--- Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite and extensive use of PowerPoint
