Job Description:

Our client, a nationwide manufacturer of commercial machinery, has an immediate need for an experienced Controls Engineer, to join our winning team in Flower Mound.

The following information aims to provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the requirements for this role.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design or Review automation and network design layouts of our equipment
Commission PLC controls for food process, product handling and packaging equipment
Advise on costing, design and controls related to the project).
Design electrical or electronic control systems
Design PLC, HMI and SCADA control systems
Supervise electrical installations of partners
Commission systems and train operators on system controls
Expected travel will be 30% of time



KEY REQUIREMENTS:

Degree in Electrical Engineering
Has programmed PLC systems from scratch (Redlion, Allen Bradley, WonderWare & Siemens)
Knowledge of the workings of system control panels
Experience in the food industry a distinct advantage
Experience in a continuous process environment
Experience of using AutoCAD, SCADA or MES systems a plus
Experience with Servo and Permanent Magnets motors preferred
