fill our full-time Mechanical Engineer role to join our growing and
dynamic Engineering Team where you will be an integral part of the
team by providing valuable input as we work toward assessing and
implementing goals and mission of the department and Luminator.
The successful Mechanical Engineer candidate will be part of a team
working to expand a strong and proven concept that has solid growth
potential, with the opportunity to create substantial shareholder
value. You will be responsible for developing mechanical components
and technology for new and existing aviation-based interior and
exterior lighting products for commercial and military
aircraft.

The Mechanical Engineer will be an experienced, operationally
oriented professional who can successfully lead as a very hands-on
Mechanical Engineer to scale for additional growth and maximize
potential.

LOCATION:
Plano is a city in the state of Texas, just north of downtown
Dallas. It is a hub for many corporate headquarters and has been
rated by Forbes as the safest city in 2011. Plano has many
visitors, 80% of which are business travelers. The Preston Road
area is home to major corporate headquarters of Fortune 1000
companies which have brought thousands of jobs to the area.
Plano has two major space reserves: Arbor Hills Nature Preserve
(200 acres) and Oak Point Park & Nature Preserve (800 acres). Bob
Woodruff Park and Oak Point Park are connected by biking trails
providing an abundance of outdoor recreation for families in Plano.
These parks also include activities such as zip lining and Tarzan
swings. They have five recreation centers that feature pools, dog
parks, and amphitheaters for entertainment. This represents 84
parks. They feature an annual balloon festival every September that
draws thousands.
Collin College has two campuses in Plano. Southern Methodist
University (SMU) and Dallas Baptist University also have campuses
in Plano. There are 70 public schools and 16 private schools. Plano
has more graduates than other comparable communities in Texas,
graduating 93% of their classes, and score 18 percentage points
higher than the same population in Dallas. Many graduate as
National Merit Scholars.
Plano is served by the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART). They
provide commuter services via bus and light rail systems. The
system is used by 1% of the population.
As far as arts, culture, and entertainment, Plano is home to over
700 restaurants. There is a thriving downtown scene that is rated
in the top ten within the country. This includes new office spaces
as well as major retail establishments. Plano is a major, busy,
bustling city and one of the best places in the United States to
live.
