Title: SQL Server Developer

Location: Hybrid in Plano, Tx (3days onsite)

Pay: $50-$60 W2 hourly

Duration: 12+ month contract

Job Description:

Participates in design, development and implementation of complex databases, often using new technologies. Viewed as the subject matter expert for the team. Manages multiple, moderately complex projects and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations. Routine accountability is for technical knowledge and capabilities as a team member or as an individual contributor. Works under minimal supervision, with general guidance from more seasoned consultants or managers. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results. Work leadership may be provided by assigning work and resolving problems. Always On performance and tuning including for large high tier environments. Computer Science degree preferred or substantially equivalent experience.

As an SQL Developer, you will develop MS-SQL queries and procedures, create custom reports, and modify ERP user forms to enhance organizational productivity. You will also be responsible for designing databases and ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality database solutions.
  
• Use T-SQL to develop and implement procedures and functions.
  
• Review and interpret ongoing business report requirements.
  
• Research required data.
  
• Build appropriate and useful reporting deliverables.
  
• Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements.
  
• Suggest new queries.
  
• Develop procedures and scripts for data migration.
  
• Provide timely scheduled management reporting.
  
• Investigate exceptions with regard to asset movements.
  
  
  Requirements
  
  
  
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant degree.
  
• Proven years of experience as an SQL Developer or similar role.
  
• Excellent understanding of T-SQL programming and Microsoft SQL Server.
  
• Good knowledge of HTML and JavaScript.
  
• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, and Transparent Data Encryption (TDE).
  
• Critical thinker and a team player.
  
• Good time-management skills and problem-solving skills.
  
• Great interpersonal and communication skills.
