Now on to the good stuff what you'll do:
The Machine Learning / AI Engineer uses specialized depth and
experience to develop and modify complex software application
programs supporting Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
initiatives. This position will be responsible for advocating,
educating and ensuring that machine learning (ML) teams across the
enterprise are following best practices around the preferred
technology stacks, as well as implementing Machine Learning
applications and proof of concepts (POC). As a member of the newly
formed Machine Learning Center of Excellence, This position will
also create detailed specifications, conduct quality assurance
reviews of peer's application programming.
Create Machine Learning Solutions to achieve organizational
objectives
Consult to product development team's best practices related to
Machine Learning application development and Machine
Learning/AI-specific infrastructure technology stacks (e.g.
GPU-based systems, A.I. in public cloud, etc).
Apply best practice software engineering principles towards the
development of applications, in order to productionalize Machine
Learning models produced by Data Scientists and ML Engineers
Leverage Big Data and Data Science tools (i.e. one or more of
Hadoop, Spark, Python, R) to both source and work with data
Ensure quality of technology delivery of multiple vendors'
technology solutions for multiple concurrent projects or programs
for an application family.
Deliver solutions for multiple concurrent projects within an
application family
Identify and implement process enhancement opportunities associated
with supporting the application area.
Implement actions to increase ESI and vendor partner knowledge on
team.
Serve as SME for components of the team.
Provide technical guidance to projects/programs for complex
components of a multiple technology suites.
Develop standard practices, components, guidelines for use of
complex technology components.
Resolve urgent and high production incidents.
Determine root cause of problems and drive resolution.
What you need to do the job:
Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of relevant experience or a Master's
degree in a relevant field or the equivalence of education and
experience
Good understanding of relational and nosql database concepts and
data processing
Computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms,
performance complexity, and implications of computer architecture
on software performance (e.g., I/O and memory tuning)
Software engineering fundamentals: version control systems (i.e.
Git, Github) and workflows, and ability to write production-ready
code
Complete understanding and wide application of technical
principles, theories and concepts in the field.
Ability to provide and implement technical solutions to a wide
range of difficult problems.
Solutions are innovative, thorough, practical and consistent with
organizational objectives.
Strong customer service focus.
Familiarity with health care or PBM industry.
Familiar with working in a vendor partner model.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate project
deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize work load and meet project
deadlines.
Adaptability and willingness to lean new tools and
applications.
Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment and make independent
decisions.
This role is WAH/Flex, which allows most work to be performed at
home. WAH/Flex employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
if they choose to come onsite or if required to periodically come
on site.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of
$95,900 - $159,800, depending on relevant factors, including
experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an
annual bonus plan.
