Job Description Job Description Pat Lobb Toyota of McKinney is
seeking Service Advisors for our growing service department. The
Service Advisor will initiate automotive services and repair orders
by ascertaining performance problems and services requested with
customers. This includes verifying warranty and service contract
coverage; developing estimates; writing repair orders; maintaining
customer rapport and records. Responsibilities: Ascertains
automotive problems and services by listening to customer's
description of symptoms; clarifying description of problems;
conducting inspections; taking test drives; checking vehicle
maintenance records; examining service schedules. Verifies warranty
and service contract coverage by examining records and papers;
explaining provisions and exclusions. Develops estimates by costing
materials, supplies, and labor; calculating customer's payment,
including deductibles. Prepares repair orders (RO) by describing
symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and
services required; obtaining approval signatures; entering RO into
service database system. Maintains customer rapport by explaining
estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtaining customer's
approval of estimates; obtaining and providing contact telephone
numbers; answering questions and concerns; arranging towing and
temporary transportation. Maintains automotive records by recording
problems and corrective actions planned. Updates job knowledge by
participating in educational opportunities as provided by
dealership; reading manufacturers' publications. Enhances
dealership's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing
new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to
job accomplishments. Act as liaison with customers by working
closely with PLT Technicians. Requirements: Must possess excellent
interpersonal and customer service skills. Minimum 2 years
experience as a Service Advisor in a high-volume automotive
dealership. Must have a verifiable track record of success in
selling service work while achieving and maintaining high Customer
Satisfaction Index (CSI). Strong organizational skills including
the ability to effectively manage multiple projects, prioritize
tasks and complete assignments within expected time frames. Must be
dependable, friendly, enthusiastic and self motivated. Organized
and capable of working effectively as part of a team or on
individually-assigned tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Must be flexible to work Saturdays. Valid in-state driver’s license
and clean driving record. High school diploma or equivalent. What
