Job Description:
Clean Harbors, North Americas leading provider of environmental,
energy, and industrial services, is looking for a dedicated and
reliable Utility Driver Class A to join our dynamic transportation
team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safe and compliant
transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous waste from various
client sites to designated facilities. As a Utility Driver Class A,
you will be at the forefront of our mission to keep our communities
clean and the environment safe. Operate Class A trucks including
Roll Offs, Vacuum Trucks, and Tankers in compliance with company
policies and local, state, and federal regulations. Transport
hazardous and non-hazardous waste in compliance with all rules and
regulations, including the Department of Transportation (DOT).
Ensure that all shipment documentation (manifests, bills of lading,
etc.) are properly completed and maintained. Perform routine
inspection and maintenance on vehicles, reporting any safety issues
or mechanical faults. Participate in company-driven and external
emergency response calls for spill cleanup and environmental
restoration. Engage with clients professionally at all times to
ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and retention. Assist
in loading and unloading materials and waste, and ensure that loads
are secured. Proficiency in operating Class A commercial vehicles
including Roll Offs, Vacuum Trucks, and Tankers. Knowledge of
Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER)
protocols. Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety
standards for transporting hazardous materials. Excellent
communication and logistical planning skills. Ability to perform
physical tasks and lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Medical
Insurance 401k Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with
Hazmat and Tanker endorsements. Clean driving record. HAZWOPER
certification (preferred but not required)
