you on board! Job Purpose We are seeking a Principal Product
Manager to define and drive the economic strategy and product
vision for our Digital Origination channel. This role serves as the
principal product leader responsible for architecting the economic
engine behind Regional’s digital lending platform as the
organization rebuilds its digital origination capability from the
ground up. The Principal Product Manager will own the long-term
product strategy, unit economics, and operating model for digital
originations, translating complex economic insights into scalable
product capabilities and strategic investment priorities. This role
will shape how Regional acquires customers, prices risk and
delivers profitable growth through digital channels. Operating with
significant autonomy and executive visibility, this position
influences enterprise stakeholders across Product, Marketing,
Credit, Finance, Data Science, Engineering, and Operations to
ensure digital origination delivers an exceptional customer
experience while maximizing risk-adjusted returns. Success in this
role means building a sustainable, scalable digital origination
platform that becomes a core growth driver for the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities Product Strategy & Economic Leadership
Serve as the principal product owner for the Digital Origination
channel, defining the long-term product strategy and roadmap
aligned to enterprise growth and profitability objectives. Own the
economic performance of the digital origination ecosystem,
including acquisition cost, funnel conversion, credit performance,
cost-to-serve, lifetime value, contribution margin, and
risk-adjusted returns. Develop and maintain advanced cohort-based
economic models to evaluate portfolio performance across channels,
campaigns, credit tiers, product structures, and geographic
segments. Translate economic insights into strategic product
investments and roadmap priorities that maximize long-term
enterprise value. Partner with executive stakeholders to establish
performance targets and operating frameworks that align product
decisions with financial outcomes. Digital Funnel Optimization &
Performance Management Provide strategic oversight of the digital
origination funnel to identify opportunities that improve
conversion efficiency, portfolio quality, and profitability. Design
and lead large-scale experimentation frameworks, including
champion/challenger testing strategies that optimize funnel
performance and customer acquisition economics. Establish
enterprise performance metrics and reporting frameworks that drive
consistent visibility into funnel health, profitability drivers,
and product performance. Continuously evaluate funnel design,
underwriting integration, and product features to maximize funded
conversion while maintaining disciplined risk management. Advanced
Analytics, Technology & Innovation Leverage advanced analytics
platforms including Snowflake and related tools to extract
insights, validate hypotheses, and identify key profitability
drivers. Partners with Data Science and Engineering teams to design
scalable analytic capabilities that support product decision making
and experimentation. Identify and prioritize innovative product
enhancements that improve digital conversion, expand market reach,
and strengthen risk-adjusted returns. Develop rigorous business
cases grounded in contribution margin, unit economics, and
long-term portfolio performance. Drive adoption of data science and
AI-enabled tools to improve decision making, automate product
optimization, and enhance customer experience. Customer & Market
Leadership Serve as the voice of the customer within the
organization by developing deep insights into borrower needs,
behaviors, and digital engagement patterns. Leverage customer
research, market intelligence, and competitive analysis to identify
emerging opportunities within the consumer lending landscape.
Translate borrower insights into differentiated product
capabilities that strengthen customer experience and improve market
competitiveness. Executive Communication & Cross-Functional
Influence Translate complex economic and analytical insights into
clear, structured recommendations that enable executive decision
making. Influence cross-functional partners across Marketing,
Credit, Finance, Branch Operations, and Engineering to prioritize
initiatives based on measurable economic impact. Establish a shared
operating rhythm by aligning stakeholders around consistent
metrics, performance reviews, and accountability frameworks. Act as
a strategic advisor to senior leadership on digital lending
performance, product investment decisions, and long-term growth
opportunities. Minimum Qualifications 8–12 years of product
management, strategy, or analytics experience, including
significant exposure to consumer lending, fintech, financial
services, or other regulated industries. Demonstrated ownership of
products or initiatives with measurable financial outcomes such as
revenue growth, contribution margin improvement, or risk-adjusted
return optimization. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics,
Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative
discipline. Strong analytical capability with hands-on experience
querying data using SQL, Snowflake, or equivalent tools. Proven
ability to synthesize complex analytical findings into clear
executive-level insights and strategic recommendations. Preferred
Qualifications Demonstrated experience launching or scaling digital
lending or fintech products that improved portfolio performance and
profitability. Prior experience within subprime or near-prime
consumer lending environments. MBA or advanced degree in Finance,
Economics, Business Analytics, Engineering, or related discipline.
Experience working with data science teams and AI-driven product
optimization tools. Working Conditions Hybrid arrangement. Three
days in an office environment in Plano TX or Greenville SC. If you
