Responsibilities:
Your Role at Raising Cane's:
The Senior Corporate Accountant is responsible for preparing all
aspects of financial reporting, preparing certain key journal
entries and analyses and assisting the Senior Manager, Corporate
Accounting with managing the annual audit. This role is tasked with
consolidating variable interest entities, leading the annual update
of process documentation, and occasionally conducting technical
accounting research.
Your Impact and Responsibilities:
Prepares monthly financial statements and the capitalized interest
journal entry
Prepares quarterly financial statements reported to lenders and the
quarterly consolidation of the variable interest entities
Prepares annual long-lived impairment analysis, goodwill impairment
analysis and reviews for embedded leases
Leads annual update of process level internal control
documentation
Assists with annual preparation of the audited financial statements
and managing the audit
Completes annually the Deloitte GAAP Checklist
Conducts technical accounting research and assists with capital
projects, as required
Stays current on key accounting issues and trends (Deloitte
Quarterly Accounting Roundup)
Prepares US Census Surveys as required
Qualifications:
Requirements for Success:
Strong understanding of US GAAP with ability to research accounting
standards, interpret and apply to real-life facts and situations,
and document results in the form of easy-to-understand supporting
schedules and memos
Detail-oriented, organized and able to manage multiple priorities
that may be constantly changing
Self-driven, flexible, and organized with strong analytical,
written and verbal communication skills
Able to work effectively and efficiently both independently and
collaboratively with internal cross-functional and external audit
teams
Strong proficiency in MS Office applications: Outlook, PowerPoint,
Word and Excel (x-lookups, sumifs, pivots and functions)
3+ years of experience in the audit practice of a national or Big 4
public account firm
2+ years of private industry experience preferred
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
CPA license preferred
