Senior Tax Accountant Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual ASC 740 tax provision calculations, financial statement disclosures as well as SOX documentationFacilitate the preparation of federal, state and local tax returns, extensions and estimated payments by working with outside consultantsReview federal, state and local income tax returns once preparedPrepare taxable income projections used to forecast cash taxes payable for federal, state, and local taxing jurisdictionsPrepare book to tax differences (depreciation, UNICAP, etc.)Analyze and maintain tax fixed assetsProvides support for IRS and state auditsResolve and respond to state tax noticesPrepare tax journal entriesPerform monthly account reconciliations for tax accountsAssist with the monitoring and analysis of new tax laws, regulations, and court cases to ensure the Company's compliance with federal, state, and local requirements Competencies Reliable and trustworthyAbility to work independently and within a teamMaintains a positive attitude; works with a sense of urgency; demonstrates timely and thorough executionPossesses the ability to handle multiple tasks and shift priorities with the demands of the business Qualifications: 3+ years of federal and state corporate tax experience at a large public accounting firm or industryOnesource Tax Provision experience a plusBachelor's in Accounting Required and Master's Degree in Accounting PreferredCPA or CPA eligible preferredAbout Us When you're a part of our team, you have the full support of a diverse, close-knit team in our stores.
