Our Controller is responsible for all financial accounting, control and reporting matters for the Akorbi Group of companies. In this role, you will establish and lead the delivery of company-wide financial and administrative processes needed to ensure a sound financial structure for the company. The person in this role will lead our Finance team and will direct the company's accounting activities in line with General Accepted Accounting practices. The Controller will also manage relationships with lending financial institutions, shareholders, other financial related service providers, and internal stakeholders. Position Responsibilities: -- Direct all aspects of accounting operations -- Oversee all personnel and transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables, payroll, and financial reporting -- Analyze company's financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs, and compliance with budgets -- Issue regular status and ad hoc reports to senior management -- Provide strategic guidance around financing options to support company growth needs -- Develop and coordinate all relationships with lending/financial institutions -- Develop and maintain all necessary accounting policies and systems, including general ledger and financial reporting -- Ensure that records are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles -- Assist senior management in financial planning and results management -- Work with other team members to understand revenue and cost drivers and define appropriate reports for tracking -- Coordinate, review, and report monthly, quarterly, and annual reports -- Manage relationships with insurance providers and ensuring compliance -- Manage all tax planning and compliance with all required federal, state, local, payroll, property, and other applicable taxes -- Oversee cash flow management Minimum Education & Experience Requirements: -- Bachelor---s degree in Finance/Accounting -- Certified CPA preferred -- MBA or other finance professional certifications Preferred -- Minimum of 10 years progressive accounting/finance experience -- Work history to include a minimum of 8 years leadership experience in an organization with annual revenues above $50 million -- Experience in working with or reporting to a President or business unit head -- Demonstrated experience in successfully managing day to day operations as well as initiating improvements in financial systems and process -- Experience managing remote overseas back-office support teams -- Exposure to and experience managing Finance and Accounting activities in a large volume transactional business (multiple vendors and clients). Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Requirements: -- Advanced communication skills, verbally and writing. -- Diversity aware and motivated to work with personnel of different cultural backgrounds. -- Comfort with working under pressure in a fast-paced environment -- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships -- Ability to focus on client needs with a commitment to quality and customer service -- Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines -- Ability to identify and resolve problems through recommending and implementing creative solutions -- Ability to demonstrate business acumen, market insight, and knowledge of related finance and accounting practices and principles -- Knowledge of and the ability to utilize ERP, preferably Net Suite -- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, in particular Excel, but also including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook SALARY RANGE Pay will be based on experience but the range is anticipated to be $95K - $105K, with a quarterly bonus plan.
