Job Description:
Job Summary Responsible for day-to-day supervision of this
outbound high volume patient services call center. This includes
interviewing and hiring, coaching, development and training,
documentation of work performance and call statistics, providing
one-on-one performance reviews, monitoring of daily call volumes
and reporting, and taking disciplinary action. The Supervisor
fosters a productive and efficient team environment of open
communication with their direct report staff to ensure the overall
success. He/she also strives to motivate their employees to perform
at optimum capacity, displaying professionalism and providing the
highest level of account resolution skills to secure collection of
payments from patients/responsible parties. Essential Duties and
Responsibilities * Creates efficiencies by improving processes and
identifying best practices in collections while actively seeking
methods to demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and
efficiency.* Identifies service issues with patients, clinical
locations, carriers or agents.* Pursues resolution of complex
issues and ensures appropriate follow through.* Engage, coach and
train new team members to insure the achievement of company and
department goals.* Responsible for providing necessary additional
training for existing employees and assessing training needs.*
Ensures staff are trained and evaluated on their knowledge of and
adherence to compliance policies and procedures specific to their
jobs.* Develops in conjunction with the Director, appropriate
incentives, rewards and recognition to encourage individual and
team achievement of goals.* Prepares, maintains and analyzes of
daily and monthly reporting specific to collections activity --
calls, contacts, left messages, payments received, payment plans,
broken promises, and additional metrics as needed by the business.*
Communicate with Reimbursement Operations departmental management
regarding identified patient issues.* Ability to effectively
manipulate multiple computer programs simultaneously.* Responsible
for writing and administering monthly/yearly employee performance
evaluations as well as monthly reviews against goals and
objectives.* Follows established policies and procedures,
objectives, and sensitivity to confidential information.* Maintains
confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.* Supports the
culture of team work, excellence and efficiency.* Shares in audit
responsibilities of Third Party Collection Agencies.* Other duties

Experience * Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or commensurate
experience; preferably in a high volume call center or medical
facility direct patient contact.* Ability to work flexible hours
consisting of 1st and 2nd shifts and possible Saturday shift
occasionally.* Minimum of 2 years of medical facility patient
contact or customer service experience.* Minimum of 1 year of
medical billing or collections.* Demonstrated teamwork skills.*
Demonstrates a positive attitude towards initiating continuous
improvement.* Ability to respond appropriately even in challenging
situations and excel with change.* Ability to motivate others in a
positive manner.* Ability to work without direct supervision.*
Exceptional human relations skills, effective oral, listening, and
written communication skills.* Respond in a timely manner to
concerns and requests from others.* Ability to foster an
independent work team culture and effectively coach and mentor
support staff.* Ability to effectively & efficiently work in a fast
paced environment with a high volume of activity.* Strong attention
to detail with excellent organizational/time management skills and
multi-tasking ability.* Analytical & problem solving abilities.*
Strong Excel working experience.* Call monitoring experience.*
Excellent computer and/or keyboarding skills.* Maintain a
consistent presence in operational areas assigned.* Ability to
review and analyze medical claims and reporting for accuracy and
compliance.* Understanding of medical billing and patient services
