Position: Field Applications Engineer IV (Plano, Texas)

Duties: Architect telecommunications monitoring software applications by

assessing monitoring needs of prospects and existing customers in the

telecom / datacom service providers’ space. Leverage technical product

knowledge to deliver high-quality technical product presentations and

demonstrations. Develop solution design and technical proposals for

network monitoring and management requirements. Conduct Proof of

Concept (POC) for software and hardware solution components in live

customer networks. Assist sales teams in achieving financial targets

and assessing and forecasting new opportunities. Develop applications

sales account strategies. Leverage expert-level understanding of

telecom protocols, business intelligence software, and product knowledge

to configure customized solutions for customers and prospects. Provide

technical design feedback to product development teams in order to

ensure monitoring management software solutions continue to meet the

deployment needs. Provide deployment design for products in UMTS, LTE,

VoIP, SS7, IMS, and Datacenter environments. Deliver technical training

and product workshops to Telecom Operators, Network Engineers, and

signaling expert teams.

Requirements: Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer

Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Network

Security, Information Systems, or a related field and three (3) years of

experience performing technical consulting and presales of network

assurance solutions for telecom service providers; or in the

alternative, a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer

Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Network

Security, Information Systems, or a related field and five (5) years of

experience as indicated above.

Also requires demonstrated expertise (DE): deploying and operating

Telecom and Datacom network monitoring products in LTE, SS7, VoIP, IMS,

and UMTS service provider environments; DE applying system protocols and

interfaces including R-P, P-I, P-H, AAA, S1, S1 S2a, S5/S10, Gx, Gy, Sh,

and STa to monitor network service provider accounts; DE interfacing

with Network Engineers, Systems Engineers, and Director-level employees

to communicate pre-sales customer needs and provide technical design

feedback; and DE creating solutions design and technical proposals to

address customer monitoring and network management requirements.
