Job Description:
Position: Principal Performance Engineer (Plano, TX) Duties: Create software performance test cases based on
product requirements. Leverage knowledge of multiple Telecom and
software engineering principles to develop applications for real-time
performance monitoring, profiling, and management of wireless networks.
Develop project milestones, plans, and schedules. Review performance
test results and provide documented in-depth technical performance
and sizing guidelines for client networks. Lead the development of
performance, scale, and functional testing to measure product performance
and application optimization. Participate in review and analysis of
new performance test tools to determine fit within the software
engineering environment. Develop, track, and report metrics that indicate
the status of development, quality, operations, and overall system
performance. Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in
Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or a
related field and three (3) years of experience in performance engineering
software development for network monitoring applications; or in the
alternative, Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer
Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
and five (5) years of experience as indicated above. Also requires demonstrated expertise (DE): leveraging commercial
traffic emulator tools including Spirent Landslide to conduct
performance, scale, and functional testing of wireless networks; DE
applying development and performance tools, including Rancher, Oracle
Enterprise Manager, Hyperic, and Docker to enable performance monitoring
and profiling on Linux and Solaris Sparc/x86 server architectures;
DE interfacing with managers, cross-functional design teams, and
database administrators to develop and implement performance testing
solutions; and DE conducting performance management for LTE, 3G, 4G, IMS,
GMS, and VoIP networks, and on AWS and Google App Engine cloud
